A significant participation was the Regional Technical Conference of Race Judges of Emilia Romagna, who met at the Florio Mattei Hall of the Federation Palace in Bologna to review the past season and look forward to the upcoming one.
The conference opened with greetings from Regional President Pierluigi De Vitis, who, while thanking the outgoing regional commission, emphasized the high level and professionalism of the category.
The proceedings began with the report of outgoing president Giulia Laghi, who highlighted the category's results, which include 3 new national judges, two of whom are qualified for the elite national level, and more than forty regional judges trained in the last two quadrennial periods.
On regulations, judges Emanuela Treossi, Federico Rossi, Luca Cinti, and Simona Manfredi expressed themselves, not overlooking various case studies to align judges' behavior in cycling competitions.
In closing, the newly formed commission places Gabriele Dainelli at the helm of the presidency. He wanted to emphasize the importance of collaboration among all components involved in races, while respecting their roles. "Only together can we put athletes at the center," he declares. Judges Nicola Borghi and Alessia Fantoni will assist him.
There were also applauses for judges Alberico Ravaglia and Raffaele Foschini, who are leaving the category due to age limits.
