
The MBH Bank Ballan CSB Colpack team is departing for Calabria, where on Saturday they will take part in the 67th Cycling Tour of the Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria, the southernmost Italian classic. The race will start from Bova Marina and conclude on the Falcomatà Waterfront in Reggio Calabria, covering 183.3 kilometers and approximately 1,800 meters of elevation gain. A high-level competition, included in the Regions Cup, which will also see the Italian National Team at the start.
For the MBH Bank Ballan CSB Colpack team, this is an important opportunity to compete with the best of Italian cycling. In the team car will be Davide Martinelli, while racing will be: Matteo Ambrosini, Gabriele Casalini, Luca Cretti, Pavel Novak, Mark Valent, and Diego Bracalente.
The staff has already departed by land, while the riders will leave tomorrow morning from Malpensa. The race will be broadcast on Rai Sport at 23:00.
The following day, the race in San Vendemiano, in the province of Treviso, is scheduled. At the start, led by Flavio Miozzo, will be: Manuel Oioli (4th place last Sunday), Leonardo Vesco, Lorenzo Nesposi, Cesare Chesini, Edoardo Cipollini, and Lorenzo Masciarelli.
San Vendemiano, also valid as the 65th Industry and Commerce Grand Prix, last year saw the victory of Florian Kajamini, who thus began his season as a protagonist.
From April 15 to 18, the team will be engaged in the Abruzzo Tour, a stage race very dear to team manager Antonio Bevilacqua, from Pescara, and organized by RCS Sport. In the team car will be Davide Martinelli and Gianluca Valoti, while racing will be: Zsombor Takas, Mark Valent, Pavel Novak, Luca Cretti, Gabriele Casalini, Diego Bracalente, and Lorenzo Masciarelli.
