The activity of U.S. Vertematese ASD in the Under 23 category continues with enthusiasm for the 2025 season. The club, founded in 1960 and active in the U23 category since 2023, confirms itself as the only reality in this category in the province of Como, continuing its commitment to youth development in cycling.
For the new season, the team presents a lineup almost completely renewed compared to the previous year. Seven athletes will defend the colors of U.S. Vertematese, all belonging to the Under 23 category. The only confirmed rider, for the third consecutive season, is Mirko Rizzi (2003). Joining him will be: Federico Frizzi (2006) and Samuele Sartori (2006) from Dal Riso al Rosa ASD, Davide Paninforni (2005) and Davide Licini (2005) from Travel & Service Cycling Team - 3B Academy, Iker Pedrotti (2006) from Velo Club Lugano and Matteo Spinoni (2006) from U.C. Bustese Olonia.
The sports director of the team will be Laura Sesana, confirmed in her role also this year. The commitment of U.S. Vertematese ASD in the Under 23 category represents an ambitious challenge, and the club hopes that more and more realities will appreciate and support the project, contributing to its growth and continuity in the years to come. The seasonal debut is set for Saturday, February 22nd in the province of Brescia, where the team will participate in the 101st Coppa San Geo, a prestigious national competition reserved for the Under 23 category.
