At the Trofeo Serra Tramuntana, the VF Group Bardiani CSF Faizané offered a choral performance: Alessandro Pinarello, Filippo Fiorelli, and Martin Marcellusi himself successfully led the chase of Morgado, competing for the final victory in a group of 12 riders. The winning move came from Florian Stork, while Marcellusi secured an excellent second place, the first podium of the season for VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizané. Filippo Fiorelli also finished in the Top 10, placing tenth, while Alessandro Pinarello came in twelfth.

These are Martin Marcellusi's words: "Today I felt good on the climbs, after Sòller we lost ground on the descent, but in the end we managed to rejoin the second group. I was feeling a bit too tired, so I fueled myself more than usual and saw that my legs were responding well. The initial goal was to position Fiorelli as best as possible for the finale, but he was also quite tired and gave me free rein. When Stork attacked, I didn't have the energy to catch him. I'm still very satisfied with this second place. I thank my teammates, Pinarello and Fiorelli, who were impeccable, and the entire team."
