Great success this morning for the event "A Stone of Love... Infinite", which brought over 300 people to the summit of the symbolic rock of the Apennines for a collective art performance linked to the arrival of the Giro d'Italia in Castelnovo Monti, next May 21st. The title of the performance echoed the Giro d'Italia claim (infinite love) but was also a highly meaningful expression of the day. The people together, dressed in pink, used fabrics made from recycled materials to draw a large infinity symbol on the summit plateau.
From 9 am, they climbed the path, dressed in pink, adding color to the rock and sparking curiosity among those who, as now happens throughout the year, were present at the Pietra for climbing or hiking. The same fabrics will now be further reused to create pink shoppers for the stage city that will be made available in Castelnovo's shops. A true moment of celebration, of strong sense of community, but also a demonstration of love for the Pietra and the Apennines that are about to host the Pink Race. The event was coordinated by artist Simona Sentieri, with technical collaboration from Cai Bismantova, Eden Sport and Health, Wellness Village Onda della Pietra, and Croce Verde of Castelnovo Monti and Vetto. The event was also authorized by the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines National Park.
Now other events in the lead-up to the Giro continue: the program can be found on the Municipality of Castelnovo website, www.comune.castelnovo-nemonti.re.it.
