Twelve races are scheduled for the 30th edition of the Prestigio d'Oro Alè for Amateurs and eight for the WindTex 2025 for Juniors. This was revealed during the presentation of the two important and interesting Circuits planned for the new 2025 road racing season for these two categories. The ceremony took place in the wonderful setting of Bevilacqua Castle, in the province of Verona, and was organized by Sport Service directed by the legendary and indomitable Agostino Contin.
The eight races of the 30th Prestigio d'Oro Alè have been established with four in Lombardy and eight in Veneto; while those of WindTex 2025 will take place with four in Lombardy and four in Veneto. The two Challenges will also award the 26th Gran Premio Direttori Sportivi Feltre Traslochi and the 21st Gran Premio Maglieria Antonella Club 88.
The races for amateurs will be held three in the province of Mantua, in Volta Mantovana, Ceresara and Montanara di Curtatone and one in Cremona; while those in Veneto have been programmed five in the province of Verona (Bagnolo di Nogarole Rocca, San Pietro in Cariano, Roncoleva di Trevenzuolo, Sommacampagna and Sona); two in the Vicenza area (Gambellara and Cima Grappa) and one in Padua, in Piove di Sacco.
The four races for Juniors, established in Lombardy, will all be held in the Mantua area, specifically in Volta Mantovana, Castel d'Ario, Marmirolo and Bozzolo; while the four in Veneto will take place two in the province of Verona (San Pietro In Cariano and Rivoli Veronese) and one each in Padua, in Agna and in Rovigo, in Villadose.
It was a beautiful and interesting evening that saw the presence of numerous authorities from the cycling world and among them the sponsors and representatives of the societies that will organize the various events, which was enlivened by the musical notes of the Orchestra "I Rodigini".
"It was a wonderful event dedicated to the presentation of the 30th edition of Prestigio d'Oro Alè and the WindTex 2025 Grand Prix where all the guests were truly happy - Agostino Contin recounted -. It was a full-throttle event. The goal of constantly improving becomes more difficult because we have given our best and having this pointed out by the guests was a great honor".
During the ceremony, Dr. Lucio Cordioli was honored for his commitment over 50 years of medical activity and passion for cycling, and Stefano Rizzato, a journalist and RAI television commentator. The latter, accompanied by Giada Borgato, Silvio Martinello and Massimo Ghirotto, received the recognition called "WindTex Sympathy Award". Celebrating the winners were Prof. Giuseppe Degani, creator and supporter of the Journalists and Professional Riders Bike Ride, and former professional Nazzareno Berto.
For the Lombardy Regional Committee, Regional Councilor Adriano Roverselli and Mantua Provincial President Fausto Armanini were present, and for Veneto there was President Mario Guerretta, accompanied by Regional Councilor Paolo Bassanello, Verona Provincial President Diego Zoccatelli and therefore Race Judges Alessandro Bertazzon and Ilenia Menini.
Before starting the ceremony, those Challenge friends recently passed away were remembered with long applause: race judge Giuseppe Canazza, mayor Valentino Girlanda, race director Lino Baracca, the indomitable Mario Penariol and former professional Arrigo Padovan.
"I noticed that Rizzato was very enthusiastic about the award he received - Contin continued - because he doesn't usually care for these parties, but this time Silvio Martinello and Giada Borgato convinced him, and he was very satisfied. He was accompanied for the occasion by his parents. While Dr. Lucio Cordioli once again demonstrated his great wisdom".
