Nate Pringle, New Zealand U23 time trial champion, is joining the Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe Continental Team with immediate effect. The "Rookies" roster now expands to twelve riders, including Italians Davide Donati and Lorenzo Mark Finn. "We are excited to bring Nate into the team. He is a rider with an intelligent and instinctive racing style that we appreciate. He has shown he is not afraid to seize opportunities, commit to the race, and innovate - qualities that perfectly align with our philosophy," says John Wakefield, Development Director of Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe.
Indeed, the 21-year-old New Zealander has already achieved several impressive results despite his young age. In early February, he became the New Zealand U23 time trial national champion, and in 2024 he showcased his talent with outstanding performances at the New Zealand Cycle Classic and in various one-day races in Belgium.
"His progression in recent seasons has been consistent, and we believe he has the potential to take another step forward in the right environment. He adds depth, energy, and a strong racing instinct to the team, and we can't wait to see what he can do with us this season as our twelfth athlete," Wakefield continues.
Pringle is thrilled about the opportunity to test himself in the European circuit: "This move is a dream come true for me. Riding for Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe Rookies is a fantastic opportunity to grow, learn, and compete at the highest levels in European cycling," says the New Zealander.
The New Zealander has already arrived in Europe and is preparing for his debut with the Rookies, although his first race with his new colors has yet to be officially announced.
