The 71st edition of the Vuelta a Andalucia Ruta Ciclista Del Sol concludes with Pavel Sivakov's (UAE Team Emirates XRG) final triumph. The race ended in La Línea de la Concepción with Spanish rider Jon Barrenetxea (Movistar) winning the fifth stage in a sprint over Norwegian Tobias Johannessen (Uno X Mobility). Staune Mitte took third place, while Giovanni Carboni finished fourth, having been delayed in the final due to a crash involving Montegi and Gachignard.

Fifteen riders broke away early in the day, building their advantage to a maximum of 2'41". The breakaway group included Labrosse, Prodhomme, Staune Mittet, Mas, Barrenetxea, Double, Fraile, Laurance, Gonzales, Gachignard, Carboni, Sosa, Leknessund, Andres, Tobias Johannessen, Lanhove, Mintegi, and Diaz. With 15 kilometers to go, Staune Mittet, Barrenetxea, Gachignard, Carboni, T. Johannessen, and Mintegi launched an attack that would decide the day's victory.
