Matteo Ambrosini conquers the 101st edition of Coppa San Geo, which was held today from Ponte San Marco to Padenghe sul Garda in the Brescia area. The opening of the amateur season brings good luck to the Vicenza rider from Roana, born in 2002 and riding for MBHBank Colpack Ballan CSB, who in a sprint distanced his breakaway companion Cristian Remelli, a first-year rider defending the colors of General Store Essegibi F.lli Curia. Third place went to Giovanni Bortoluzzi, also from General Store Essegibi F.lli Curia. The two breakaway riders escaped in the last lap from a group of twelve athletes including Franzoni and Daniel, who together with the Irish Neill were the protagonists of the day's most important action. They were later joined by Guerra, Bozzola, Ambrosini, Remelli, Fraticelli, Quaglia, Rossi, Bessega, Grimod and Volpato, forming the dozen that controlled the race until the end.
