The title went to the world champions from Denmark (Hansen, Larsen, Leth and Skivild), who beat Great Britain's Charlton, Britton, Hobbs and Gill. The Danes clocked 3:51.113, while the British finished in 3:51.832 at the end of an extremely tight final.
