On Sunday, February 9th, a large representation of Veronese teams and athletes participated in the Cyclist's Mass, a traditional communicative gathering organized by the Dossobuono Olympic Cycling Society that precedes the start of the road cycling season.
Diego Zoccatelli, provincial president of the FCI, began the ceremony with a greeting to all participants, emphasizing that sports practice is a moment of confrontation and growth for athletes, urging everyone to respect traffic rules and always pay maximum attention to prevent tragedies that have already too often plagued our roads.
During the mass, officiated by Dossobuono parish priest Don Andrea Mascalzoni, before the final blessing, there was the reading of the prayer to the Madonna of Altarol, protector of Veronese cyclists. At the end of the religious service, there was an opportunity for a group photo in front of the altar, before participating in the refreshment with hot beverages offered to all attendees by the organizing society of the event.
