Tibor Del Grosso reconfirms as U23 Cyclocross World Champion. The Alpecin Deceuninck Development rider lived up to the expectations of retaining his world championship jersey for the second consecutive year. Of another category was the winner, but the performance of the day undoubtedly belongs to Italian Stefano Viezzi, also Del Grosso's teammate. The Friulian secured a highly valuable fourth place, considering this is his first season in the U23 category. The Italian champion raced as a protagonist, maneuvering well among the Belgian riders De Bruyckere and Michels, silver and bronze medalists respectively, with whom he defended his position until the very end. A result that confirms Viezzi's growth (yesterday silver in the Team Relay) after the podium in Hoogerheide (third) and fifth place in Besanson, both World Cup events.
