French rider Lise Revol is the new Junior Cyclocross World Champion. On the first day of the world championships in Lievin, France, the 16-year-old from the Cote d'Azur, who won bronze in yesterday's Team Relay event, won by a significant margin, beating Czech rider Barbora Bukovska after an incredible and spectacular race. Bronze medal went to Canadian Rafaelle Carrier, fresh from her World Cup victory.
The performance of Italian rider Giorgia Pellizotti was unfortunate, as she was victim of a crash at the start which compromised her final result. However, the daughter of a cycling family managed to recover positions, finishing in the top ten with an excellent ninth place. After a good start, Elisa Ferri faded in the second half of the race, ultimately finishing in sixteenth place.
Ambitious but not obsessed with cycling, Lise Revol has other passions, such as reading, which she loves very much. She is also passionate about photography. And she has learned to play the synthesizer, those pianos that don't take up too much space at home.
