Also in the 2025 cycling season, which will open in Tuscany on Saturday, February 22nd with the thirty-seventh edition of the national Firenze-Empoli classic, an elite-under 23 amateur team has been assembled in Sicily, which will be adopted in the Prato area with a logistical base in Galciana di Prato.
This is the Team Bike Sicily Multicar Amaru, of which former professional Paolo Tiralongo will be the general manager, with the collaboration of Prato native Fabio Dabizzi (in the photo) in the role of team manager. The two sports directors will be former under 23 world champion Leonardo Giordani, who has lived in the Pistoia area for years, and Umbrian Gianluca Brugnami. We recall that Dabizzi is one of the main organizers, along with Giordani, of the Maurizio Bresci Memorial, the national amateur race that will be held this year on May 18th in Galciana. The team, which will be officially presented on Friday, February 7th in Sicily along with the program for the upcoming season, includes 10 athletes (five of whom are Sicilian), as well as American Ian Kutzleb, and the sole Tuscan Bertolli.
THE TEAM: Eric Chemelli, Emanuele Ansaloni, Samuel Bertolli, Ian Kutzleb, Alessandro Curzi, Elia Basile, Gianluigi Scibilia, Giuseppe Carmeni, Vincenzo Andrea Risplendente, Giovanni Di Stefano.
