The splendid setting of the Castle of San Pietro in Cerro, in the municipality of the same name in the province of Piacenza, provided the backdrop for the presentation of the international track cycling races of the Six Days of White Roses, a prestigious event that will take place at the "Attilio Pavesi" Velodrome in Fiorenzuola d'Arda from August 1st to 6th, 2025.
Sunday morning was spent in the splendid Renaissance residence built in the 15th century. Perfectly preserved, the castle houses frescoed rooms, period furnishings, and a large park. Inside is the Contemporary Art Museum Mim, with over 800 works. Guests were welcomed by the melody of the harp played by Tatiana Alquati. Then a visit to the castle in the company of owner Franco Spaggiari. At 11, in the Hall of Honor, the presentation of the 28th edition of the Fiorenzuola event was illustrated by Claudio Santi.
The program includes high-level competitions: Omnium, Madison, Scratch, Elimination and Points Race of UCI Class 1 for Elite, for both men and women, with perfect gender equality in the calendar. Fiorenzuola thus confirms itself as one of the world capitals of track cycling, offering six days of pure spectacle and great competition.
In addition to races reserved for professionals and Under 23 (scratch, elimination, madison and points race, again for men and women), the event will also make space for youth categories, with the return of competitions dedicated to Beginners and Juniors, contributing to the growth of new generations of track cycling.
Those who attended the presentation were also given a small brochure with a brief history of the Velodrome, which will turn one hundred years old in 2029.
