Erlend Blikra claimed a winning sprint in the 23rd edition of La Roue Tourangelle, contested between Chinon and Tours over a total distance of 197 kilometers. The 28-year-old Norwegian from UnoX, already on the podium in early season races in Spain and fifth in Brugge/De Panne on Wednesday, today beat Bryan Coquard, the French Cofidis rider, and Gerben Thijssen, the Belgian from Intermarchè - Wanty.
Before the final sprint, the race was animated by several attackers who were caught by the peloton just a few kilometers from the finish line.
