
Now it's Slovenia! On Sunday, March 23rd, the MG Kvis Constructions and Environment Colors for Peace team will travel to the town of Izola in southwestern Slovenia to line up at the start of the Grand Prix Slovenian Istria, an international race in the UCI Europe Tour calendar, class 1.2, covering 156 kilometers.
At the start for the Continental team will be Francesco Parravano, Andrea Cantoni, Matteo Spreafico, Simone Carrò, Giovanni Fanton and British rider Ben Granger, already a winner this season in the Firenze-Empoli race. Four days later, on March 27th, the same formation but with Fabiano Faieta replacing Fanton, will return to Slovenia to compete in the Grand Prix Brda Collio, also a class 1.2 UCI Europe Tour event.
The race will take place in the cross-border Brda area, with start and finish in Dobrovo Castle. The unique feature of the competition also includes the Italian partthrough Medana and Plešiva up to the border crossing with Italy. At the Vipolže border crossing, the race returns to Slovenia. The start is at 11:00 AM.
Meanwhile, riders Fabiano Faieta, Vittorio Friggi and Luca Laudi will participate in the Trofeo Città di Loreto di Villa Musone in the province of Ancona, guided by Maurizio Frizzo in his dual role as sports director and organizer. The Marche region race is scheduled for Sunday, March 23rd, covering 128 kilometers and starting at 2:00 PM.
