There will be 130 kilometers of intense and vibrant emotions, with a spectacular finale considering the route, for the third Giuliano Baronti Grand Prix that opens the 2025 junior season on the first Sunday of March. An edition with added value due to the presence of RAI, the Italian national coach Dino Salvoldi, with 194 registered riders from 30 teams, in one word, an authentic national luxury showcase to open the season. Moreover, the Baronti GP is also the first event of the rich tuttoBICI Oscar UAE Emirates calendar.
It is ultimately the most beautiful and important way to remember Giuliano Baronti, a charismatic figure who gave so much to national and Tuscan cycling, whom everyone loved and who left an indelible mark on this sport. His sons Alessio and Stefano have outdone themselves in commitment and passion to set up the event, a true celebration of sport and cycling.
MAIN REGISTERED ATHLETES: Two athletes stand out in the lineup, Giacomo Rosato and Alessio Magagnotti, who had an extraordinary first year as juniors in 2024, but there are certainly no shortage of opponents who will do everything to win the Pistoia race. We mention the Tuscan champion Del Cucina, Proietti Gagliardoni, Sciarra, Pascarella, the newcomers Gaggioli and Luci, Ballerini, Buturo, Dalle Crode, Cerame, Picchianti, Battistelli, Serangeli, Matteoli, Scottoni, Migheli, Salomone, Iacchi, Ferruzzi.
THE ROUTE: The race organized by Team Franco Ballerini, provides the unofficial meeting and start from Via Amendola in the industrial area of Cerbaia di Lamporecchio at the Neri Sottoli company, while the route will be 130 Km long. The official start from Via Ferrucci in Lamporecchio at 2 PM after two and a half kilometers of transfer, with 5 initial flat laps of 16.300 km through Mastromarco, Lazzeretto, Stabbia, Cerbaia, then two laps of 17.200 km with some undulations (Lamporecchio, Borgano, Vinci, Bivio Toiano, S.Pantaleo, Apparita, Mastromarco, Lamporecchio, Cerbaia). Finally, the last lap of 16.400 km touching Lamporecchio, the San Baronto climb from its most challenging side, then a technical and tricky descent towards Giugnano and Lamporecchio to reach the finish line in Via Amendola in Cerbaia di Lamporecchio just after 5 PM. The race will be broadcast on Sunday evening on a delayed basis on Rai Sport Channel 58 at 10:45 PM; Monday at 9:30 PM on Channel 88 Alert System.
