Søren Kragh Andersen has recently undergone a small, perfectly successful surgical procedure to remove a benign pseudotumor in the scrotal region.
Although currently unable to train on the bike due to the location of the intervention, the Danish Lidl Trek rider has started a regime of swimming, running, and strength training while waiting to return to normal cycling training.
Søren will most likely miss the cobblestone classics, however, his delayed debut with the new jersey should occur in April.
"It's a great disappointment not to be able to join the team for this important first part of the season, but the priority was to resolve the medical issue. There is a lot of work to do to prepare for my debut with Lidl-Trek, but I am fully motivated to get back in shape and support the team for the rest of the season," explained the experienced rider who joined the American team this year.
