Anna Morris has lowered her world record in the women's individual pursuit final at the British Track Championships held in the Manchester velodrome. Morris had previously set the record at the Heusden Zolder European Championships on February 15th, stopping the clock at 4'25"874. With a magnificent 4'24".060 in front of her home crowd, the Welsh cyclist achieved another exceptional performance:
"My motivation was really high, especially on my home track and in front of an audience that knows me very well," Morris said. "After the Europeans, I wasn't sure how much strength I had left, but the crowd definitely supported me during those last four laps".
