The training camp of the MBH Bank Ballan CSB Colpack team is about to conclude, having trained for over 10 days on the Spanish roads around Gandia. Ideal routes and climate accompanied the group, which appeared very cohesive from the start.
The Spanish event was also an opportunity for the group, led for over 30 years by Antonio Bevilacqua and Rossella Dileo, to meet the team's main sponsors, who wanted to greet the 20 riders: 14 Italians, 5 Hungarians, and 1 Czech.
"We count on an excellent group of athletes, whom we support to the best of our abilities, making available all the professional expertise we have in preparation, tactics, nutrition, technical support, and communication," says Antonio Bevilacqua.
SPONSOR: Also arrived from Hungary, Gabor Deak greeted the team: "I wish for a year of success, and I see that the Hungarian riders have also grown a lot. My dream is to see even more colors with national championship jerseys and to do well at the Giro Next Gen. We have a serious and organized structure, with a dual Italian and Hungarian soul, an example of collaboration between two nations that I believe is unique. All this is functional to our goal: to give a future to young Hungarians in this sport. We are positive in every aspect, including the team's continuous growth."
Seven Hungarian junior team riders were also present in Gandia.
At the training camp, Renato D'Aprile from CSB (Commerciale Siderurgica Bresciana) and Alessandro Ballan from Ballan SPA, a company historically linked to cycling and specialized in sectional door production, were also present.
"This team transmits passion, and here we can see up close the work and sacrifices these young riders undergo to achieve their dreams. We are by their side and will continue to be, because we believe in the project," they declared during the evening meeting.
STAGE: The training camp went smoothly, with consistently favorable weather conditions and increasing workloads. In addition to daily training sessions, several technical analysis meetings and first-half season planning sessions were held in the late afternoon and evening.
Present were sports directors Gianluca Valoti, Flavio Miozzo, Davide Martinelli, and Beppe Dileo. The work was coordinated by coach Dario Giovine. In Spain were also mechanics Gloria Musa and Lorenzo Capitanio, logistics manager Maurizio Manzoni, masseurs John Zamuner and Eros Colombo, and foreign sponsor manager Federica Pezzotta.
EUROPEANS: These days, track riders Napolitano and Bianchi are competing in the European Track Championships in Zolder, Belgium. Napolitano in sprint events, while Bianchi is the reigning champion of the standing kilometer.
