Con l’ultima tappa del Giro d’Italia n.103 si è chiusa ufficialmente la stagione agonistica del team Bardiani CSF Faizanè. Tante le emozioni vissute in queste 21 tappe a tinte rosa e pur non cogliendo il bottino pieno di una vittoria (solo 7 formazioni World Tour su 22 squadre partecipanti sono riuscite) la squadra si è distinta per azioni, fughe e piazzamenti di rilievo.
FUGHE E PIAZZAMENTI. Sono 4 i piazzamenti in top10 colti dal team in questo Giro d’Italia, due allo sprint con Filippo Fiorelli e due in azioni da lontano colti da Alessandro Tonelli e Giovanni Carboni. Sono 6 gli atleti del team ad aver provato un’azione da lontano per arrivare a cogliere il bottino pieno. Ben 4 le fughe centrate da Alessandro Tonelli, uno degli specialisti del team. Due fughe a testa per Francesco Romano e Filippo Zana, mentre un’azione a testa per Giovanni Carboni, Filippo Fiorelli e Fabio Mazzucco.
IL TEAM PIÙ GIOVANE E TUTTO ITALIANO. La Bardiani Csf Faizanè ha scelto di presentarsi al via del Giro d’Italia con una formazione giovanissima, con un’età media di poco superiore ai 23 anni e con due atleti classe 1999, i più giovani al via della corsa rosa, Fabio Mazzucco e Filippo Zana. Ben 4 i debuttanti, insieme ai due giovanissimi infatti anche Francesco Romano e la piacevole sorpresa Filippo Fiorelli erano alla loro prima partecipazione. L’esperienza maturata al termine del loro primo grande giro gli sarà di grande aiuto nel corso della prossima stagione.
IL BILANCIO DI ROBERTO REVERBERI. “Considerando il livello degli avversari e come davvero solo i grandissimi team abbiano colto una vittoria di tappa, appena 7 team su 22, il nostro bilancio è positivo. Siamo partiti con una formazione molto giovane e con le incognite di una stagione atipica. Siamo stati protagonisti in molte fughe cogliendo anche buoni piazzamenti. Alessandro Tonelli si è espresso a livelli molto alti e con maggiore fortuna avrebbe potuto cogliere un piazzamento ancor più prestigioso in particolare in due delle quattro azioni che ha intrapreso. Filippo Fiorelli al suo primo giro ha fatto vedere buone cose e i giovanissimi hanno fatto importante esperienza che tornerà loro preziosa nella prossima stagione. Domenica si è chiusa la stagione 2020, ma noi siamo già al lavoro sulla stagione 2021. Il Giro d’Italia, grazie al grande lavoro degli organizzatori, ha dimostrato che con le giuste accortezze lo sport può convivere con il virus e che si può correre regolarmente nella sicurezza e nel rispetto di tutti.”

The racing season of the Bardiani CSF Faizanè team officially finished with the last stage of the Giro d'Italia n.103. There were many emotions experienced in these 21 pink-hued stages and while not grasping the full spoils of a victory (only 7 World Tour line-up out of 22 participating teams succeeded) the team distinguished itself for actions, breakaways and important placements.
BREAKAWAYS AND PLACEMENTS. The team reached 4 top 10 placements in this Giro d’Italia, two in the sprint with Filippo Fiorelli and two in action from afar with by Alessandro Tonelli and Giovanni Carboni. Six of the team's riders have tried an action from afar. 4 the breakaways of Alessandro Tonelli, one of the team's specialists. Two breakaways each for Francesco Romano and Filippo Zana, while one action each for Giovanni Carboni, Filippo Fiorelli and Fabio Mazzucco.
THE YOUNGEST AND ITALIAN TEAM. Bardiani Csf Faizanè has chosen to present itself at the start of the Giro d'Italia with a very young line-up made only by Italian riders, with an average age of just over 23 years and with two riders born in 1999, the youngest at the start of the pink race, Fabio Mazzucco and Filippo Zana. 4 rookies, together with the two very young ones, in fact, Francesco Romano and the pleasant surprise Filippo Fiorelli were at their first participation. The experience gained at the end of their first great lap will be of great help to him over the course of next season.

We started with a very young team and with the unknowns of an atypical season. We have been protagonists in many breakaways, also taking good placements. Filippo Fiorelli showed good things on his first Giro and the very young people had an important experience that will be precious to them next season.
