In keeping with tradition, the "Blue Day" took place in the locality of Albergo in the province of Arezzo, with the opening reserved for the junior category. A single start with first and second-year athletes present, and organization as always handled by Pol. Albergo Oliveto. Francesco Frasconi, a second-year junior from Pedale Toscano Ponticino, was the splendid overall race winner, prevailing in a sprint over Leo and Vincenzo Vito from Team Cesaro Franco Ballerini, who was the first-year winner. The Campanian athlete achieved his third success in Tuscany in 6 days after Ponte a Egola and Calenzano, and his fifth of the season.
