In 2025, the collaboration between BGY Airport Granfondo and Fondazione Creberg continues to promote art and culture. The prestigious amateur cycling event, which this year will take place on Sunday, May 4th under the auspices of the Italian Cycling Federation, once again aims to highlight aspects that, while distant from sporting activity, are nonetheless an integral part of our society and the territory that hosts it.
For one day, art and sport pedal together. With this intention, BGY Airport Granfondo and Fondazione Creberg have been collaborating for several years to propose exhibitions and cultural activities, under the coordination of Angelo Piazzoli, President of Credito Bergamasco Foundation. The combination of art and bicycle transforms the race into a socially responsible event.
Numerous artists have "crossed the BGY finish line": after Marco Ceravolo, Valentina Persico, Giorgio Paris, Hemo, Steven Cavagna, Tiziano Finazzi, Zaccaria Cremaschi, Marinella Bettineschi, Trento Longaretti, Fabio Agliardi, Giovanni Bonaldi, Carlo Previtali, Emilio Belotti and Giovanni Frangi, a new artist will exhibit their works during the 2025 edition of the event.
The artist chosen this year is Cosetta Arzuffi, whose works can be admired in the spaces set up inside the secretariat and ExpoVillage on the day of the race.
The Artist: COSETTA ARZUFFI
Artist Cosetta Arzuffi - a woman of great intelligence, culture, savoir-faire and artistic talent - was born in Zanica (BG) and comes from an artistic family. She approached painting at a very young age, first under her father Arturo's guidance, then in her paternal uncle Pasquale Arzuffi's studio, who directed her towards classical composition. After professional studies, she attended figurative drawing courses at the Marangoni Institute in Milan. She continued her artistic training under Master Luigi Arzuffi and painter Piero Urbani. She learned the art of engraving from painter Ignazio Nicoli. She also attended ancient painting, pictorial and wooden restoration courses. Since 1970, she has participated in artistic life with personal and collective exhibitions both in Italy and abroad. Around 1985, she began dedicating herself to research studies on light, color, and the symbolic expression of thought. In 1994, she was appointed an effective member of the Diocesan Commission for Sacred Art in Bergamo for the 1994-1997 triennium. Her works are featured in public and private collections in Italy, France, Switzerland, England, Netherlands, Belgium, Canada, Japan, Australia, Malawi, and Israel.
A commonality of inspiration and intent has led to a long and fruitful collaboration with Fondazione Creberg. This partnership has given life to three refined and intelligent exhibitions - Dialogue, Virus, and The Soul and Time - through which the artist, thanks to numerous stages throughout the territory, has presented her works to a wide and passionate audience.
