The Italian Cycling Federation has officially assigned Senigallia the organization of the National Youth Meeting for 2027, after previously hosting it in 1997.
A highly anticipated return for Senigallia and the entire Marche region, ready to reclaim its role as the national under-13 cycling capital and receive the baton from the Tuscan seaside town of Viareggio, which will host the Meeting for the 2025-2026 period. In the Marche region, the event will be managed by the Pianello Sports Group with support from Pedale Chiaravallese, Superbike Team Castelfidardo, and Pedale Aguglianese.
In a joyful and friendly atmosphere, the Meeting is a four-day showcase dedicated to young athletes aged between 6 and 12, featuring races in road, mountain bike, and skills disciplines, on closed and safe circuits, involving a multitude of young athletes, families, and accompanying persons, generating a significant tourist impact.
The Meeting's history in the Marche region has solid roots, with Pesaro being a protagonist in the early years for six editions (from 1989 to 1993 and then in 2000), followed by Senigallia (1997), San Benedetto del Tronto (1998-1999), and Porto Sant'Elpidio (2017).
The president of the FCI Marche regional committee, Massimo Romanelli, states with enthusiasm: "A great piece of news for our region and the entire cycling movement. We were chosen to host one of the most beautiful and engaging events, where children and families will experience carefree and fun days. The 2027 event will be a major occasion that highlights the grassroots activities of our societies, the true youth sport. A showcase for the Marche region and an extraordinary boost to promote our beauty and increasingly encourage tourism, as athletes, managers, and accompanying parents will flood Senigallia".
