It's the big day of the world's oldest classic: today the 106th Milan-Turin presented by Crédit Agricole will be contested. The start will be given from Rho and the race will conclude, after 174 km, at Superga. The climb leading to the Basilica will host the finish of the Classic born in 1876, four years after Primoz Roglic's blow for a race that returns to favor climbers.

Among the most accredited riders at the start are Isaac Del Toro, Adam Yates, Richard Carapaz, Lorenzo Fortunato, Einer Rubio, Marc Hirschi and Michael Storer, but watch out for potential outsiders like Davide Formolo, Jorgen Nordhagen, Ivan Sosa, David De la Cruz and Simone Gualdi. Three former winners are also present: Diego Ulissi (2013), Michael Woods (2019) and Alberto Bettiol (2024).
THE ROUTE
The route is essentially flat in the first half, undulating with some notable difficulties in the second. Departure from Rho to cross the high Po Valley plains in the rice field area, touching Magenta, Novara and Vercelli, then moving towards the Po River crossing the rice fields in perfect flatlands. A winding section follows along wide and predominantly straight roads until reaching the final circuit. After San Mauro Torinese, the Po is skirted along Corso Casale to climb to the Superga Basilica for the first time (diverting 600m before the finish) to descend to Rivodora with a challenging descent that returns to San Mauro and then climb back to the finish with gradients even over 10%.
The last 5 km (which are repeated twice except for the final 600m) begin in Turin on Corso Casale where the climb to the Superga Basilica starts. The average gradient is 9.1% with a peak around mid-climb of 14% and long stretches at 10%. 600m from the finish, a U-turn to the left to tackle a ramp at 8.2% and then the final curve 50m from the finish on asphalt (width 7m).
