The Tirreno-Adriatico reaches its decisive day: the sixth stage, from Cartoceto to Frontignano (Ussita) is destined to write the history of a race that has been extremely balanced so far. The stage, measuring 163 km and featuring 3,400 meters of elevation gain, winds through the inland valleys of the Marche region with continuous ups and downs in the first part, interspersed with some important climbs like Crispiero, then ascending towards the Fornaci tunnel.

In the final part, the route passes through Visso and Castelsantangelo sul Nera to tackle the final climb, that of Frontignano. This is an ascent of about 8 km with long stretches over 10%, especially in the first part. It is a wide climb characterized by numerous consecutive hairpin turns: near the last kilometer, the gradients slightly decrease. All the big names who have more or less hidden themselves until now will no longer be able to do so: the final climb is preparing to determine who will be the king of the 2025 Race of the Two Seas.
