In just three editions, it has become one of the most anticipated junior classics at the national level, and Sunday, March 16th is ready to return. The Little Liege of Bregonze was born with the aim of providing an increasingly delicate and crucial category with a race that stands out from others, featuring a modern and spectacular route. Operations will be led by Sandrigo Bike President, Pier Davide De Marchi, assisted by Martino Dal Santo, patron of Faizanè, Osvaldo Tonello, and Luca Calgaro.
Riders will face 119 kilometers, with a total of 1300 meters of elevation gain. The route will wind through the Alto Vicentino area, starting from Piazza Chilesotti in Thiene and featuring a first flat circuit of 8.1 km to be repeated 5 times. At that point, the riders will have warmed up their legs and will be ready for the double Bregonze circuit, with the climbs of via Costa (1300 meters at 4.5%), Casa Enrico (800 meters at 6.3%), Ca' Vecchia (2500 meters at 6.7%), and the Tavani climb (700 meters at 7%), with the latter to be tackled only in the second lap. The finish is located in Zugliano, on Via Maso, after a climb of about 620 meters with an average gradient of 8.2%. These figures alone explain why the organizers chose to call it the "Little Liege".
At the start, there will be 35 teams from all over Italy, with the best talents in the category competing to win a young classic that is already rich in prestige. The start is scheduled for 11 AM, with the arrival in Zugliano expected around 2 PM.
The event represents not only an important sporting occasion but also a moment of social inclusion, thanks to the collaboration with the Tonello Enrico Onlus Foundation, which manages the day center "Casa Enrico" for people with disabilities.
