Lorena Wiebes (SD Worx Protime) finished Le Samyn de Dames with her arms raised. The European champion secured her ninety-seventh career victory, her fourth this season, winning decisively in a slightly uphill sprint after 122 kilometers of racing. On the podium with the 25-year-old Dutch rider were Swiss Linda Zanetti (Uno X) and Irish rider Lara Gillespie (UAE Team ADQ), who once again featured prominently in the final standings after her second place at the Omloop van het Hageland. Letizia Paternoster finished ninth after launching the sprint for her teammate Georgia Baker, who finished fifth, and working extensively with her Liv Alula Jayco teammates.
In the final moments of the race, Slovenian Eugenia Bujak (Cofidis) attempted to surprise the peloton but was reeled back in after the last passage of the Côte des Nonettes. On the cobbled section of Rue de Belville, Letizia Paternoster and her Liv Alula Jayco teammates increased the pace, further reducing the already small group of riders. Meanwhile, Wiebes moved up through the peloton and in the final meters, with her characteristic powerful sprint, distanced her rivals, adding her name to the race's honor roll after Vittoria Guazzini (absent today, ed.) who won last year.
