CYCLOCROSS | 20/12/2024 | 11:30
Three international commitments for Eva Lechner from Bolzano. First race on Saturday, December 21, in Hulst, Netherlands for the World Cup event. The second race on Sunday, December 22, in Zonhoven, Belgium, again in the World Cup, and the third on Monday, December 23, still in Flanders at Mol-Zilvermeercross, a Superprestige event. The thirty-nine-year-old champion of Ale Cycling Team is coming off her debut in the Cup in Namur last week. "Not having points, I'm back in the starting grid and with less than optimal condition, after the ailments I've had, I struggled in Belgium. But it was a great day where I enjoyed myself, and the support from the Belgians along the course really pleased me, just as I appreciated the special mention from the speaker for my last appearance in Namur after so many appearances. Now I have three races in three days, and I must say that in my career I've tried stage races, but it's never happened to me before to run three consecutive separate races. Since this is my last year, I'll try this novelty too: I believe my condition is improving and I hope to do my best, always keeping in mind that starting from behind makes everything more complicated. As always, I'll give my all and, as always, I hope to enjoy these Cup races where the level is extremely high".
