An intense racing weekend awaits the VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizan. On Saturday, April 12th, the Reggio Calabria City Tour will start, the third race of the Regions Cup after the Laigueglia Trophy and Milan-Turin. The 183km course largely follows the route from two years ago: the start will be from Bova, while the finish remains confirmed on the Falcomatà Waterfront in Reggio Calabria.
For this race, several sprinters have been selected, including Luca Colnaghi, Filippo Fiorelli, Enrico Zanoncello and Filippo Magli. Matteo Scalco and Luca Paletti, already protagonists at the Piva Trophy, will also be at the start. Completing the lineup is Roman rider Martin Marcellusi, born in 2000.
On Sunday, April 13th, it will be the turn of Under 23 athletes with the San Vendemiano City Trophy. The first 100 kilometers will be flat, followed by five laps of a circuit characterized by the climbs of Formeniga and the Ca' del Poggio Wall. The six young riders selected for the race are: Federico Biagini, Filippo Turconi (winner of last Sunday's Piva Trophy), Santiago Ferraro, Lorenzo Conforti, Martin Herreño and local favorite Filippo Cettolin.
