An absolute first to remember for the Junior category at the GP Colli Marignanesi, which saw Tommaso Cingolani (Zero 24 Petrucci Cycling Team) triumph in a spectacular final sprint. The Marche athlete, already a European cyclocross champion, confirms his golden moment by achieving his third victory in three races contested at the start of the season.
THE RACE. The race, which took place on a hilly 60 km course, saw 182 starters from all over Italy among riders born in 2009 and 2010. The early stages were animated by an attack attempt by Francesco Dell'Olio (Pirata Cosmetall Vangi Sama Ricambi), who tried to surprise with a long-range move, but the peloton remained compact thanks to the tight control by the Work-Service Coratti team, recognizable by their yellow-fluo jerseys that maintained a high pace for almost 40 km. The rhythm was high and every breakaway attempt was neutralized, until the final lap, when the group fractured: about twenty athletes managed to break away, bringing with them the main favorites of the day. The victory was decided on the final straight, where Cingolani unleashed all his power, overtaking Brian Paris (Team Coratti), another major protagonist of this early season, while Lorenzo Ferraro (Team Coratti) took the third step of the podium. The GPM classification of Santa Maria del Monte was conquered by another Team Coratti rider, Haisu Ionut Riccardo.
