
Five days after his first victory in this edition of Tirreno-Adriatico, Jonathan Milan once again tasted the sweet flavor of victory. The Race of the Two Seas was not easy for the Italian sprinter, who had to overcome a crash and stomach discomfort at the beginning of the week. In the seventh and final stage, Lidl-Trek made sure Milan had the opportunity to seek victory again: Amanuel Ghebreigzabhier set the pace before Toms Skujins chased the attackers and then paved the way for Milan's train.
"I'm super happy about this second Tirreno victory, I must always thank my teammates, they did a perfect job. It was a bit tough, even uphill, and I must say I suffered a bit, but I arrived at the finish line still with energy and I'm happy. I must say I'm sorry that Jasper Stuyven crashed at the end, and I hope none of the riders involved got hurt. All in all, it was a really good Tirreno, I'm really happy to have achieved this second victory after the crash I had a few days ago, and the last two days that weren't so easy for me uphill. I'm happy, and now... let's look ahead".
