An event with Nicole Cooke to delve into the world of women's cycling. Yesterday afternoon, at the Ghisallo Museum, a talk was held on important themes of women in cycling and sports, with the Welsh Olympic and World Champion at the center of a debate moderated by RAI journalist Marzio Quaglino, featuring testimonials from Antonella Bellutti (two Olympic golds), Rosane Kirch (2nd at the Women's Tour in 2008), Antonella Stelitano (writer), Morena Tartagni (champion), Donata Minorati (Olympic rowing), Giuseppe Manenti (granfondo BGY Airport organizer), Renzo Oldani (Tre Valli Varesine Woman organizer), Gigi Cifarelli (musician) and Fabio Casartelli's parents. At the Museum, entry was free for women all day, and the registration for women who signed up for the BGY Airport Granfondo on May 4th between 8 AM and 8 PM yesterday was also free. On this occasion, the collection of memorabilia continued: Nicole Cooke brought her Olympic jersey as a "dowry" to be displayed in what is now the home of cyclists and cycling memory, with a gaze directed both to the past and the future... and also on the present, as those in attendance watched Strade Bianche together, whose winner Tadej Pogačar donated his Colnago bikes from the Giro, Tour and World Championships at the beginning of this year.
In the next episode of our BlaBlaBike podcast, which will be released tomorrow evening as usual, you'll hear Nicole Cooke's statements
