Seven stages, 1,147 km and 14,400 meters of elevation gain. These are the key numbers of the Tirreno Adriatico Crédit Agricole that will start on Monday, March 10th from Lido di Camaiore and end on March 16th, as tradition dictates, in San Benedetto del Tronto.
The 60th edition of the Race of the Two Seas will see major names from the international cycling scene at the start, beginning with the former world champion and winner of three stages, Mathieu Van der Poel, in his last preparation step before Milan-Sanremo. The list of main stage hunters includes Filippo Ganna (3 victories), Jonathan Milan (2 victories), Biniam Girmay, Thomas Pidcock, Olav Kooij, Dylan Groenewegen and Paul Magnier. Plus, of course, the phenomenon Van der Poel...
Great uncertainty also surrounds the battle for the Blue Jersey. Among those who have won the Trident of Neptune are Nairo Quintana (2015, 2017), Michal Kwiatkowski (2018) and Simon Yates (2020), although the favorites see Juan Ayuso and Jai Hindley, second and third classified in 2024 respectively, in pole position. The registered riders also include Adam Yates, Richard Carapaz, Mikel Landa, David Gaudu, Antonio Tiberi, Giulio Ciccone and Derek Gee.
