The Energy Team is certainly one of the most ambitious teams in the national junior category. At the helm of the club is always the passionate Rocco Pisano, who is also its founder. The team is based in Albese, a town known to cycling enthusiasts as the home of Fabio Casartelli, Olympic champion in Barcelona 1992, unfortunately passed away (it will be 30 years on July 18). President Rocco Pisano and his Energy-branded collaborators presented their competitive forces at the elegant Hotel Helios in Monza. In the management staff, in addition to the confirmed Paolo Valoti and Andrea Colombo, there is now also Brescian Tiziano Gozio, who in the past successfully managed young riders in the Ronco Gussago and Feralpi jerseys.

The Energy Team riders will pedal on Piton bikes, an emerging Brescian brand in the sector. The roster available to Valoti, Colombo, and Gozio includes 12 boys, among whom is the promising Polish rider Jan Mroz, 18 years old, strong on both road and track. Mroz lives near Poznan and last year won 2 races. In the lineup is always Federico Brafa, from Valtellina, specifically Tovo Sant'Agata. Brafa, born in 2007, is known for his excellent results on mountain bikes but also excels in road competitions.

The Brianza native Filippo Colella, born in 2008, comes from the Unione Sportiva Biassono and has already won 50 races in his career thanks to his sprinter qualities. Last year, as a junior in the US Biassono jersey, he obtained 3 victories, including the Gran Premio della Liberazione in Rome. Filippo lives in Veduggio with Colzano, and the blue jersey for road or track this season is far from a mirage. Patron Rocco Pisano has snatched from major rivals Pool Cantù-GB Junior the powerful Varese rider Ivan Colombo, skilled in time trial competitions. The athlete, born in Tradate on April 13, 2008, and residing in Fagnano Olona, in 2024 achieved 1 road victory and 3 in cyclocross. The eclectic Ivan Colombo has a background with Unione Sportiva Legnanese and, as a novice in January 2022, placed on the podium at the Italian Cyclocross Championship in Friuli.

Pisano has secured another valuable element who until December belonged to the Club Ciclistico Canturino, another historically rival team. This is the local Luigi Schiavolin, from Alzate Brianza. He is a fast-paced rider from 2007, and in his 2nd year as a junior, he will try to give his best. As a junior, he wore the jersey of the Gruppo Sportivo Alzate Brianza, the society of the municipality where he resides. "In 2024 I had some problems," Schiavolin declared, "and with the Energy jersey, I want to make amends". The club of Rocco Pisano has confirmed Achille Pozzi, a fast-paced rider from Lissone (Monza Brianza). Pozzi, born in 2007, has celebrated 5 victories in his career. However, in 2024 he did not triumph: he hopes to soon obtain his first victory as a junior.

He is also a former junior from Biassono Davide Gileno, 17 years old, credited with 80 career victories. Last year, he gave president Annalisa Maino and other Unione Sportiva Biassono managers 4 beautiful road victories and one on the track. Moreover, Energy now has Davide Licari in the lineup, a Brianza rider from Cornate d'Adda, born in 2008. The former Biassono rider is hunting for his first career victory.

The climber Achille Bellato is also a former Biassono rider. Born on December 2, 2008, he is the youngest in the team. The rider from Seveso (Monza) won 3 races last year, and his career victories total 30. In the stock of former Biassono juniors now riding for Energy is also Alessandro Velludo (born in 2008), from Como's Cassina Rizzardi, with 20 victories since he started riding. In 2024, Cristian Magni, from Lecco's Casatenovo, was racing among juniors. He was in the flourishing youth system of Gruppo Sportivo Alzate Brianza. In his career, the new Energy standard-bearer has some placements: "Now I want to win!"

Pisano and his collaborators also draw from the Liguria youth system: Edoardo Orengo, born on March 14, 2008, left the Nuova Arma di Taggia society to debut as a junior in the orange jersey. Orengo is from Montalto Ligure, boasts 20 victories, and has a strong desire to succeed.

At the Monza presentation, some Italian Cycling Federation managers participated: Claudio Roncalli, councilor of the Lombardy Regional Committee, Chiara Mariani and Arif Messora, presidents of the Monza and Como Provincial Committees, respectively. Additionally, from the Helios pulpit, Pierangelo Cristini, collaborator of Edoardo Salvoldi, national junior team coach, spoke to the boys. Next week, the Energy juniors will hold a training camp on the Livorno coast. The competitive debut is scheduled for Sunday, March 2nd, in Volta Mantovana.
