Granted, this is a relatively new discipline, since until a few weeks ago the women's individual pursuit was contested over 3 kilometers - but breaking the world record twice in the same day is truly something special. British rider Anna Morris achieved this feat tonight, pedaling in 4.25.874 and improving her qualifying performance by over two seconds. No luck for Vittoria Guazzini (4.34.098), who still takes home a beautiful silver medal. Bronze goes to Mieke Kröger, who won the German derby against Lisa Klein.
