Team Mazowsze Serce Polski focuses on the experience and sprinting skills of Jakub Mareczko: the 30-year-old from Brescia with Polish origins has reached an agreement with the team led by Adrian Banaszek and in the coming weeks we will see him in the group wearing the red and black jersey and riding the Guerciotti bike provided to the Continental team from Warsaw.
A professional since 2015, Mareczko can boast fifty career victories, the most recent obtained last August with Team Corratec Vini Fantini in the first stage of the Tour of Hainan.
Speaking about "Kuba", Adrian Banaszek said: "His excellent sprinting skills and experience gained in World Tour teams will be crucial for Team Mazowsze Serce Polski and will make the squad competitive, especially in bunch sprint finishes. Jakub's presence in the team will also be useful for the growth and training of younger riders who will have the opportunity to train and race alongside one of the best sprinters in the peloton".
Banaszek also emphasized that Mareczko's arrival could help the Polish cycling movement: "His presence in the team could increase sponsor and media interest, also raising the technical level of races in our country".
Mareczko's competitive season could start in about ten days in Greece, where the fourth edition of the South Aegean Tour is scheduled.
