On October 29th, Valencia and its territory were hit by a terrible flood. A month after those terrible events and the frightening images showing a community in difficulty,
cycling - and particularly the Volta a Comunitat Valenciana - is launching a reassuring message of recovery by confirming that the competition scheduled from February 5 to 9, 2025 will take place.
"Our race is not in danger" write the event organizers in a statement. Certainly, the race won in 2024 by
Brandon McNulty will experience a seventy-sixth edition that is particularly unique, given that much of the material necessary for the organization has been rendered unusable by water and mud, and some sections of the route have been affected by the tragedy.
But in the document made public in recent hours, they inform that the organization's managers are "Collaborating with the authorities to
study the feasibility of these routes and, if necessary, propose any modifications to the planned route to ensure the proper running of the Volta a Comunitat Valenciana 2025."
