The Born to Win-BTC City Ljubljana-Zhiraf has chosen Offida for the second consecutive year for its official season launch in 2025, presenting an ambitious team ready to make its mark in the international women's cycling landscape.
The vernissage took place at Villa San Lazzaro, an ideal setting for presenting the 14 athletes comprising the team's roster (across under-23 and elite categories), along with the technical and management staff. The hosts were Gianni Spaccasassi (president of the Ciclo Amanti Offida Sports Society) and Roberto Baldoni (president of Born to Win).
The team's vision is clear: to compete at the highest levels and actively contribute to the growth of women's cycling. A project that prides itself on a strong connection with the Marche territory, as reaffirmed by the honorary guests during their speeches.
Among those present, Fabio Luna (regional CONI Marche president), Massimo Romanelli (regional FCI Marche committee president), Lino Secchi (former Federciclismo Marche president), Luigi Massa and Roberto Barbizzi (mayor and sports councilor of Offida respectively) brought their words of encouragement to the athletes and staff, highlighting the pride of a community and an entire regional sports movement enthusiastically welcoming this ambitious project.
The start of the 2025 season has been sparkling, with Lara Crestanello already securing two victories in three races, contested between Slovenia and Croatia, demonstrating the team's competitiveness and determination from the first impact.
The evening was also an opportunity to look back at 2024: a golden year for the team that won 22 victories, including the prestigious Coupe de France and several national titles on road and track. These are complemented by 35 podiums, 50 top-five placements, and the presence of some athletes in national teams at the Paris Olympics in France, the Zurich World Championships in Switzerland, and the Hasselt European Championships in Belgium.
On the organizational front, the society has officially confirmed the Giro delle Marche in Rosa, which this year will be reduced to two events between Offida (May 10) and Corridonia (May 11 in collaboration with the Corridonia Club).
The presentation concluded with cutting the cake, a symbolic moment that sealed the desire to perform well by all athletes and staff.
