Czech Filip Novak immediately became a protagonist in the opening race of the junior season in Italy. The young rider of Ciclistica Trevigliese, younger brother of Pavel who races in the Continental MBKBank Ballan CSB Colpack, won the Tecnomeccanica Trophy held in Volta Mantovana in the province of Mantua. Novak demonstrated a powerful performance, breaking away from his competitors in the final to finish the competition solo. Second place went to Riccardo Colombo from Pool Cantù GB Junior, who led the group that arrived 32" behind. Luca Vaccher from Team F.lli Giorgi completed the podium.
