The Youth Italian Cup for regional committees was won by Lombardy, held in Seregno in the province of Monza and Brianza. The team led by Mauro Maffeis and Silvia De Piaz, with Barbara Mussa's supervision, won the championship during the Gran Premio città di Seregno-Memorial Enrico Lainati-Trofeo BCC Barlassina organized by Asd Respace Bike Team in collaboration with Cicli Brianza and Salus Seregno.
The Lombard riders scored the highest points by hitting targets in individual trials with Luca Ferro (beginners), Eleonora Flaviani (women beginners) and Sara Peruta (second-year juniors), and obtaining second place with Beatrice Maifrè and third place in the Team Relay won by Veneto. The sunny day also brought luck to European champion Tommaso Cingolani, who succeeded with second-year juniors by overtaking Dell'Olio from Puglia and Scalorbi from Emilia. Among first-year riders, Michel Careri from Valle d'Aosta of Salus Seregno prevailed in front of Borile and Frosini, while another Valle d'Aosta rider Matilde Anselmi (Salus Seregno) won the women's race, beating Maifrè and Ghilotti.
The event was attended by 15 regional teams with over 300 athletes. Among the guests at Parco della Porada in Seregno were FCI President Cordiano Dagnoni and Vice President Ruggero Cazzanga, Lombard Committee President Stefano Pedrinazzi, Monza & Brianza Provincial Committee President Chiara Mariani, and former professional cyclists Stefano Allocchio, Mario Scirea, Giancarlo Casiraghi, Davide Bramati, Massimo Santambrogio and Massimo Ghirotto,
