In 2025, there are no shortage of novelties, with the 86th edition of the Giro dell'Appennino, scheduled for Sunday, June 24, this year adding the Giro dell'Appennino Women Elite. The best way to celebrate the patron saint of Genoa, Saint John the Baptist. It was inevitable that the dinner would take on a pink hue. Especially with the presence of Norma Gimondi, who received the Appennino Rosa from Gabriella Persegona. A recognition not only for being the daughter of the unforgettable Felice, who won the U.S. Pontedecimo race twice, in 1969 and 1972, but above all for the commitment shown through the "Gimondi Camp" that involves children from 5 to 12 years old, including those with disabilities, during the summer period. Besides Gimondi and Persegona, who at the helm of Tre Colli continues the cycling commitment of her unforgettable husband Tarcisio, other women were present.
