DR. LUCA SIMONI JOINS THE SC PADOVANI POLO CHERRY BANK STAFF

In an increasingly competitive and organized cycling world, the Sc Padovani Polo Cherry Bank has planned from the start its debut among Continental teams in the 2025 season, relying on a staff of qualified and professional experts.
President Galdino Peruzzo together with his vice presidents, Alberto Ongarato and Martino Scarso, have just presented the addition to the white-green staff of another world-renowned professional who will closely follow the Padua team's roster, taking care of nutrition and supplementation aspects.
This is Dr. Luca Simoni, a Padua adoptee, researcher and formulative developer of supplements for sports, health, and wellness, lecturer of 1st Level University Masters at the University of Padua, high-level training schools, and speaker at national and international conferences, who already has a successful collaboration with the Astana team, where he has held the role of Lead Nutritionist for several years, working with numerous World Tour professionals and several Olympic athletes.
A former 100-meter runner for Gs Fiamme Oro and the Italian national track and field team, where he also won a junior national title, he has gained field experience and knowledge in training methodology and physiology. Alongside Dr. Simoni, Dr. Davide Charrier will also collaborate to closely follow the athletes of Sc Padovani Polo Cherry Bank.

That's why, alongside Team Manager Alessandro Petacchi, Team Doctor Dr. Carlo Guardascione, Biomechanical Specialist Marcello Pavarin, Athletic Trainer Paolo Slongo, Mental Coach Pier Marino Rosti, and Sporting Directors with great experience like Franco Lampugnani and Dmitri Konychev, we have chosen to include a world-renowned nutritionist like Dr. Luca Simoni. He is an extremely valuable figure to ensure the well-being of our athletes, and we are happy and proud to welcome him to the team" observed President Galdino Peruzzo together with his vice presidents, Alberto Ongarato and Martino Scarso.
Passion for sports and great enthusiasm for joining the white-green team were also expressed by Dr. Luca Simoni, who added: "Cycling is one of the disciplines that has most involved me, both humanly and professionally, in recent years. Despite being a high-level discipline, it still presents important areas for improvement where it is possible to experiment and find effective and innovative solutions. As a Padua native, I can only be happy and proud to become part of this historic team of my city at such an important moment that will see these jerseys return to a high-level category like UCI Continental. In recent days, I have already had the opportunity to meet the athletes with whom we have started a path of knowledge and growth that I am certain will bear important fruits".
