A moment of excellent form for Eli Iserbyt who, after yesterday's success in Kortrijk, replicated today in the first World Cup Cyclocross race for the elite category, which was held today in Antwerp, Belgium. The Belgian champion of Pauwels Sauzen Bingoal was really strong and by the third of the eight scheduled laps, he took control of the situation, leaving his rivals, particularly Sweeck and Vanthourenhout, who had always traveled a few seconds behind the lead, in his wake. Iserbyt's accelerations thus allowed the Belgian to win by a margin and wear the UCI World Cup leader's jersey.
At the finish line, the winner preceded Laurens Sweeck of Crelan Corendon and his teammate Michael Vanthourenhout.
