When we contact him, Luca Raggio has just gotten off the bike after a ride and immediately confirms what he had posted on social media late last night: "Yes, I will run for the position of President of the Liguria Regional Committee".
Nearly thirty years old, turning 26 next March, Luca lives in Coreglia, started cycling very young and category after category reached professional level where he raced for four seasons. After ending his career, he made himself available to a local Society as Sports Director for Youth and Beginner categories.
Now he has decided to accept this new challenge and, as he writes, put his experience "at the service of children, young people and adults passionate, like me, about this wonderful sport".
Raggio writes further: "Step by step I have developed projects to give new momentum to the cycling movement in my territory, but only with a decisive change of pace at the regional level we can return to giving continuity and greater results to the commitment that each Ligurian society daily puts into its activities. It is with this precise purpose that I have decided to run for the Presidency of the Regional FCI Committee."
